Frances was the first wife of singer and actor Gordon "Sting" Summers. There were married from 1976-1984. She has two children, Joseph Sumner and Fuchsia Katherine "Kate" Sumner. Her father is Joseph Tomelty and her sister is Roma Tomelty.
