Birmingham, England is a city in the country's West Midlands region. Birmingham is the home of the Shelby family and the Peaky Blinders.
Background[]
Birmingham is an industrial, working-class city. The factories work all through the night. There's constant booming from the giant steam hammers and flashes from the steel foundries. The streets are cobbled and lined with terrace houses and factories. Birmingham is broken up by multiple canals, such as the Grand Union Canal.
Birmingham includes the neighborhood district of Small Heath. This is where the Shelby family lives. Their home is on Watery Lane. Another well-known district is the Chinese Quarter. Green Lane is where many Irish from Belfast have settled after escaping violence. Little Italy is in the neighborhood of Nechells Green. It looks like the rest of the city, except all the signs are in Italian. It's a pleasant and colorful scene. One of the main streets is Garrison Lane, which is the locations of the Chain Tavern and the Garrison Pub. The train station is on Snow Hill. Isiah Jesus' cousins and fellow members of the Peaky Blinders are from Alum Rock. Alum Rock is an inner-city suburb of Birmingham and is officially a division of Saltley. The Birmingham Police serves as the main law enforcement agency, tasked with upholding the peace and patrolling the streets.
